The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is proud to present PICKLE PALOOZA 2013 on Saturday, June 29th. Pickle Palooza is a daylong festival filled with afternoon family fun, contests, food, pickles and an outstanding music lineup. The Chamber has announced that all proceeds from food purchases will go to the benefit of the Woodstock VFW and our local military veterans.
The festival will be held on the grounds of the Woodstock Harley-Davidson store near the intersection of Routes 14 & 47. The gates will open at 11:30 AM and close at 11:30 PM. Admission into the all-day event is only $10 at the gate and $7 in advance through the Chamber office. Parking is adjacent to the grounds and is free. Patrons are advised to bring their own chairs but know that people will be encouraged to dance and stand in front of the stage.
The music will get rockin' with The University band opening at 11:35. This teenage band consists of members from McHenry and Cary. They are a very talented group with a bright future. Next up at 1:15 will be the group, Spoken Four. Spoken Four will entertain with current music and medleys of top songs from the past. They are one of Chicago's most requested festival and wedding bands. The group, led by a female and male vocalists, will have you singing and dancing along with them! At 3:30, Josh Scholl will bring his high energy performance to the stage. Josh is a past winner of the national karaoke contest and he will perform his hit single, "City Lights." He is non-stop motion on stage. At 5:00, festival goers will party to the tropical and island sounds of Johnny Russler and Beach Bum Band. This band, who has opened for Jimmy Buffet, will entertain by playing a number of Buffett songs as well as many rock favorites put to the island sound. Get the beach balls ready! At 6:45, the Chamber will then honor the military veterans with a "Patriotic Salute" and the singing of the National Anthem by Woodstock's own songwriter and performer, Cassandra Vohs-Demann. The country cover band, Suburban Cowboys, will take the stage at 7 PM. This group has performed at Country Thunder and is a regular at Toby Keith's Bar in Rosemont. They are quickly becoming the top country band in the area. Get ready to do some line dancing! Closing the music for the day is the high energy and extremely entertaining group, Wedding Banned. The group will have everyone dancing and singing to all the hits from the 80's. There may also be a couple of "wedding ceremonies" performed during their act!
